Supporting the Small Business Community in Council Bluffs

We work with some of the best of the best on the Councils Bluffs Historic 100 Block, and COVID-19 is forcing them to close their doors or operate on an entirely different business model.

Tuesday morning, after a day to process the events surrounding us, we found ourselves on multiple text threads with small business owners, just like ourselves. We are all asking the same questions as COVID-19 changes our worlds:

• What should my response be?

• How do I stay in business?

• What is appropriate and what feels insensitive?

• What do we do?

• How can we help each other?

• Can we do anything for the community as a whole?

We decided to organize and do one of the things we do best! Strategic brainstorm sessions for our business owner friends and clients. A number of business owners gathered at our studio (6 feet apart of course). Coffee cups in hand, we offered support to one another and jumped into figuring out exactly what actions could be done now!

What Tandem Works is Doing

As brand storytellers, we know our role is to assist with content strategies and to tell the stories of companies and organizations stepping up to the plate. The stories of those who are not acting in fear, but are acting with strategy, compassion, and caution.

One of our strengths is assisting small to medium size businesses with a brainstorm session, to allow for creative solutions! Strategy Session calls are free of charge strategy calls for any business owner who needs a listening ear and some calm creative thinking during this time. As we navigate new territory, there’s a benefit to a third party.
